Southwestern Utah Livestock Show Nets Winners From Garfield County CEDAR CITY Panguitch Elementary and High School students stu-dents active in the Future Farmers of America program participated recently in the Southwestern Utah Junior Livestock Show held at Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Sept. 9-11. Numerous ribbons and awards were brought home by the group including a first place for her lamb in junior showmanship for Autumn Excell and a third place for his steer in junior showmanship for Ky Roundy. A first place in intermediate intermedi-ate showmanship for his steer and a second place in intermediate showmanship show-manship for his lamb for Jason Excell. Camile Christensen received a second place for her lamb in senior showmanship, while Joe Noyes received a third place for his steer in senior showmanship. The livestock judging team comprised of Joe Noyes, Alex Nay and Jason Excell brought home firs place, with Noyes also bringing home an individual third place award. Other winners included Kelsey Christensen with a champion hog; Ky Roundy (Boulder) with a champion cham-pion steer; Ben Noyes Camile Christensen and Casey Christensen with Star Class lambs. Camile Christensen also showed a Star Class Iamb and Joe Noyes showed a' Star Class steer. Several of the same students who fared well in Cedar City, followed fol-lowed up by showing their prize animals at the Utah State Fair the week of Sept. 16-19. Receiving awards for Star Class hogs were Jason Excell, Autumn Excell, Kel sey Christensen and Camile Christensen. Chris-tensen. Jason Excell received a second place for lamb showmanship; Seth Decker received a seventh place award for lamb showmanship; Camile Christensen received a ninth place for hog showmanship. Landon Lan-don Fullmer also showed lambs receiving a blue ribbon. Others participating in these activities ac-tivities included McKenzie Christensen, Chris-tensen, Jamie Dodds, Joel Dodds, Tyler Barney and Brady Barney, Mark Tebbs, Luke Tebbs, Karsten Josie and Christie Tidwell.
