I am a home town columnist, not an ; investigative reporter. No excuses folks. Our love and sympathy go out to the families of Elise Ott and Herman Pollock. Two fine people. ' They will be missed. Stonnie and Francine Pollock are the parents of a little baby boy. Jake Rockwell was born at the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City. Grandparents are Stan and Nellie Mecham, Bishop Lonnie t and Cheryl Pollock, all of Tropic and Lyle Fullmer of Germany. '' Great-grandparents are Afton and Del Rae Pollock and Malen and Marion Mecham of Tropic and Desmond and Gretha Twitchell of Cannonville. - Curtis and Natalie Chynoweth " of Cheyenne, Wyo. brought baby ' daughter Jessen home to Tropic to ' receive her name and blessing in LDS Sacrament meeting. A family dinner followed afterward with grandparents, lots of aunts, uncles and cousins wishing sweet Jessen and parents much happiness. Also receiving his name and blessing on Sunday was Trenton Kenneth Leslie, son of Randel and Dianna Leslie. Uncle Steve Simons : did the honors and a family dinner was enjoyed at the home of grandparents Raymond and Ronnie Brinkerhoff. Various uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and grandparents Ken and Doris Leslie and Great-Grandma Great-Grandma Ora Brinkerhoff were in attendance. Ella Bybee is a patient in the ::. Valley View Medical Center recuperating from knee surgery. A -.- sister, Jean Syrett, drove Ella over. Clive and Thelma Bybee traveled to Riverton for the blessing and naming of granddaughter . Morgan Amber, a daughter of Craig ! and Brenda Bybee and of grandson, -'' Brycen Cyril, son of Shawn and Karen Bybee of Pocatello, Ida. All -' of the Bybee family met and enjoyed one another's company and posed for a family portrait. Shawn and Karen Bybee and young Brycen spent the next weekend in Tropic at the home of this parents. JoNeil Alvey is a patient in the Dixie Medical Center in St. George. When released, she will stay in Hurricane at the home of her parents, Russell and Beverly Wright. The Bryce Valley High School Spanish class are in Mexico enjoying the sun and sights for a week. Aaron and Julie Bybee went along with the group, as well as Spanish teacher David Pollock and wife, Kathern. Dave and Stephanie Roberts are the proud parents of a baby boy, ' Haden. Grandparents are Steve and Kathy Goulding, Henrieville; Ken and Valeene Roberts, Antimony and Don Woodmancy, Laguna Nigel, Calif. Great-grandparents - are Mae Sawyer, Hatch; the late Elise Ott; Garth and the late Ilene Roberts of Antimony, who passed away on the day of Haden's birth. Haden has an older brother, Col ton, who is thrilled to have a permanent playmate. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Benson of Midvale spent' the weekend with the Gail Mileses. Fred Hall spent two days this week visiting with his daughter Marie Niemann. The Clare Ramsays enjoyed a visit with their small grandson from Page, Ariz. Alice Christensen made a trip to Salt Lake City over the weekend for medical checkups. Margaret M. Mecham was hostess to the adult home evening group at her home on Monday evening. Ella Bybee and Eva Dean Francisco had surgery Monday. Roland Bee is a patient in the hospital in Panguitch. Gail and Bonnie Miles and Ella Adair attended the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Haycock in the St. George LDS temple. The Relief Society 17th of March program and dinner was a huge success. Lowell and Margaret Mecham have a new grandson born to Mr. and Mrs. Scott Mecham. Kim and Kathy Ott and children were weekend visitors at the Wallace Ott home. Ella Adair and Margaret M. Mecham attended a Garfield County Coun-ty Council on Aging meeting in Panguitch on Monday; Boys in the Tropic LDS Ward Teachers Quorum presented the program in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Gordon and Sharon Pollock were in California and Aaron and Julie Bybee went with the Spanish class to Mexico. |
