Show Tropic Hews By Lynn Munson 679-8627 Last Monday, Sandra Cox took her mother, Shirley Haycock to Cedar City to see her doctor. He reports she is doing well. That is very good news. Hopefully Shirley will be able to get out more when she has gained more strength. Weekend visitors at Kent and Betty Lou Wintch's were their son, Kenneth Wintch and family from Brighton, Colo. While here, they did a little fishing and then went to Caliente, Nev., to see Kenneth's first grandchild. On their way back to Colorado, they stopped again in Tropic, to pick up items they had in storage. Betty Lou is happy to have the space in her basement again! Staying with Mark and Barbie LeFevre was Barbie's father, Lyle Fullmer from Germany. His wife Angie and son Jan Fullmer came from Las Vegas, Nev., to visit while Lyle was here. Jan also visited vis-ited with his mother, Nellie Mecham and the rest of his family. Mate and Ruth Baugh were kept busy for a week with their daughter Kelly's five children. They enjoyed the Independence Day festivities and did some fishing with grandpa Mate. Paul and Anita Iverson and family fam-ily were here to visit with Lillis and Marlin Francisco. Daughter Deann was home for a good family get-together. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Price were here to visit Gail and Bonnie Miles. They are good friends and were next door neighbors when Gail and Bonnie Bon-nie lived in Midvale. Mondell and Florence Syrettt were in Monticello for several days to attend a horse show. They bought a couple of horses to use on the Red Canyon Trail Rides. Daughter Sydney was here from Phoenix, Ariz., for a week. Son Lance and his friends spent several days at Lake Powell enjoying the' water and scenery. Hilma and Elaine Haas went to Richfield to see Merle Richards. They had a very enjoyable visit with Merle and she was happy to see them. Merle's husband Nile is at home in Tropic now. It is good to see him around town again. Hilma took Maxine Crosby out on her birthday for a nice lunch. |
