Show Hazel and Arthur Evans Golden Anniversary For Hazel And Arthur Evans The children of Arthur B. and Hazel Dawn Daly Evans will be honoring their parents with a celebration cele-bration of their 50th wedding anniversary. an-niversary. The event, which includes a program and dance, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the LDS 3rd Ward Cultural Hall in Parowan from 7 until 1 1 p.m. Arthur and Hazel were married on Feb. 22, 1941 in Panguitch and were sealed in the St George LDS Temple on Feb. 25, 1943. They raised eight children: Mrs. Allen (Sherry Dawn) Nielson and Mrs. Larry (Helen) Turnbaugh, both Las Vegas, Nev.; Douglas Evans, Panguitch; Pan-guitch; Mrs. Ron (Vicky Anne) Anderson, Layton; Mrs. Steve (Pauline) Applegate and Mrs. Kevin (Debra) Johnson, both of Parowan; Mrs. Layne (April) Le-Fevre, Le-Fevre, Tropic; and Dan Evans of Enoch. Also attributed to their union are 34 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In his earlier years, Arthur ranched from Escalante to Idaho. Hazel, a former Panguitchite, was a homemaker and Iron County recorder for 10 years. They are now serving their church by working work-ing two days a week at the St. George Ge-orge LDS Temple. They have also realized their lifetime dream of having a cabin at Little Creek. Friends and family alike are invited in-vited to attend this open house. |
