Show Mr. and Mrs. Johnson Johnsons Will Note 60th Wedding Day TROPIC Clement Hills and Clara McDougall Johnson will celebrate cel-ebrate their 60th wedding anniversary an-niversary at an open house in their honor to be held August 25 at the Edgemont Second Ward LDS chapel, 555 East 3230 North in Provo. The Johnsons were married Sept 13, 1929, in the Manti LDS Temple. Tem-ple. They spent the first few years of their married life in Hanksville. During that time Mr. Johnson served an LDS mission to Nebraska. Nebras-ka. Afterwards, they moved to Payson where they established a dairy farm. In 1957 they moved to Provo where they live at the present time. They also lived in the Bryce Valley area where they have property, Mr. Johnson distinguished himself as a farmer and rancher in both Utah and Garfield counties. Mrs. Johnson worked in both counties as an outreach worker for Utah Family Services and Services to the Aging. Since retirement the Johnsons have served as LDS missionaries in the Texas Dallas Mission, as guides on Temple Square, and are currently serving as temple workers in the Provo Temple. They have seven children, Howard Johnson, (deceased), La Von Johnson, Dawn Asay, Derrell Johnson, Lovisa Lyman, Martha Johnson and Jay Johnson. They have 26 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren. |
