Show ionriovillQ flews By Sarah Rose 679-8777 Delpha Rose had a visit from Dan and Millie Chidester and some of their children. Dan and Millie attended the funeral in Panguitch for his uncle then made the trip to Henrieville to spend a few hours visiting. Lee and Thclma Smith enjoyed a visit with their son, Bart, and his two sons, Jake and Tyson. While here they had a good time looking for just die right Christmas tree. The Henrieville Cub Scouts held a pack meeting at which several awards were given. Wade Moore, son of Frankie and Gayle Moore, received his Bobcat award. Tyson Piatt, son of Ken and Artoise Piatt, received his religious emblem knot for earning his Faith in God award. The Ken Piatt family also earned the Cub Scout Family Award. This award takes one full year to earn. Cody Mortensen, son of Andy and Shawna Mortensen, received his Webelos badge as well as his Arrow of Light award. Cody was also welcomed into the Boy Scout program by Scoutmaster Cliff Mathews. Helen Willis spent the night in the Panguitch hospital. She was released the following day and is doing fine. The Henrieville LDS Relief Society held its annual Christmas Social. There was a very big turn out. Thanks to all who supported the social and special thanks to all of those who put in many hours of preparation getting it all ready. Janet LeFevre, a former resident of Henrieville, reports that her grandson, Karl La'ulu, son of Tamau and Geniece La'ulu, played on the West Jordan 13-14 year-old football team. The team played in a tournament in Las Vegas, Ncv. over Thanksgiving weekend. They won the championship in that tournament and brought home a team trophy. The team lost only one game during their season. Congratulations. The Henrieville LDS Primary presented a ward home evening Christmas program. They sang many songs and presented the Nativity scene. Thanks to all who helped to make it a success. The Ken Piatt family presented a Christmas program for all the residents of the Extended Care Center Cen-ter in Panguitch. The family also did a separate program for a party hosted by Ken's parents, George and Thora Piatt of Richfield. Kenyon Piatt brought home a 11 a friend, Camille Redford, of Bancroft, Ban-croft, Ida. for a visit. Kenyon is a son of Ken and Artoise Piatt. The first annual lighting ceremony was a big success. The LDS young men and young women prepared a nau'vity scene to display at the town park. The town provided pro-vided the materials and the youth prepared and painted the scene. Many thanks to all who helped. It looks very nice. Gary Johnson has spent some time in Texas participating in training for the telephone company. It is nice to see so many of the college students home for the Christmas break. The Ken Piatt family is enjoying their two children, Kenyon and Jaime, being home. Kenyon is attending Utah State University in Logan and Jaime is attending Dixie College in St. George. Rebecca Johnson is home from BYU Hawaii. She will be attending school at Southern Utah University in Cedar City this next quarter. Rebecca is a daughter of Gary and Sandy Johnson. The Ken Piatt family are proud of the accomplishments of their son, Nathan. Nathan is a member of the Utah State University choir. This is a great honor as those who wish to be a member must go through an audition process. Congratulations on this accomplishment. accom-plishment. The town is ablaze with Christmas lights. It is nice to see so many houses decorated. Seeing all the lights helps bring the Christmas spirit to life.
