Show a v - t ... , ' , , , 4 . , Lf uvy Cristy Orton and Jon Savage OrtonSavaere PANGUITCH Cristy Ann Orton and Jonathan Clay Savage, both of Panguitch, will unite in matrimony at the St. George LDS Temple on Saturday, Mar. 11, 1995. A reception for the newlyweds will he held that same Saturday evening from 6:30 until 9 p.m. with a program slated from 7:30 until 9 p.m at the Panguitch 2nd and 3rd Ward building. The bride-to-be is a daughter of Denny and Jean Orton of Panguitch. She graduated from Panguitch High School in 1992 where she was active as a cheerleader cheer-leader and participated in both volleyball vol-leyball and track. She served as student body president her senior year and was a graduate of LDS seminary. She graduated from Dixie College with an associate of science degree in 1994. The prospective groom is a son of David and Judy Savage of Panguitch. He graduated from Panguitch High School in 1991 where he participated in basketball, baseball and track and enjoyed drama. He also graduated from LDS seminary and went on to serve an LDS mission in Pittsburgh, Penn. The couple plan to make their home in St. George where Jon will work for an independent rural electric elec-tric company and Cristy will continue con-tinue on with her education. Heywood Celebrates 80th PANGUITCH Mark Kay Heywood, Panguitch will celebrate his 80th birthday on Monday, Mar. 13. He is the 11th child of 12 children born to Joseph Edgar and Margaret Effie Henrie Heywood. Three sisters are still living, Margaret, Ethel and Edith. Kay married Neilene Clove in 1935 and they are the parents of six children, Annette, Marsden Kay (deceased), Kathleen Geiselmayr, Bruce Neil, Terrie Kay Jacobsen and Leniece Fischer. They have 19 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Kay has lived in Panguitch for most of his life, except for a number of years when he lived in California, Cedar City and Richfield. Since returning to Panguitch in 1958, he has served as an LDS Bishop, a member of the High Council and Stake Clerk, among other church callings over the years. He also served on the 1 I Panguitch City Council ana was mayor of Panguitch for several years. He will celebrate his birthday at home with family members. |
