Show j TROPIC MEWS D By Ella Adair 679-8648 Several Tropic and Bryce Valley families and fans attended the playoffs play-offs for fifth place in Salina, supporting the boys basketball team as they captured the opportunity oppor-tunity to travel to state. Larvin and Eva Pollock made a trip to Salt Lake City for a medical check-up for Larvin. While there, Eva visited her sister and brothers, then on down to Orem to visit daughter, Marian Allen and family. They are happy to have them moved back to Utah. They also visited ip Delta with son, Bill and family. The Adult LDS Family Home Evening group met at Ella Adair's home. Minnie Nielsen gave the lesson. Larry Adair spent a night at his mother, Ella Adair's home. Jerry and Carol Pollock took their children to St. George for orthodontist appointments. Wallace Ott and Agnes, Malen and Sarah Littlefield visited with their sister, Hope Wintch in Cedar City before her death this past week. Sheldon and Larvin Pollock, Jerry Pollock, Lonnie Pollock and Bodie and Stonnie Pollock attended the fur sale in Nephi. Faye and DeVar Pollock visited with their granddaughter, Rachael Pollock for a week while her mother attended a special schooling. Several relatives and friends attended at-tended the funeral service in Aurora for Terri Willis, a former teacher here and wife of Cornell Willis. Funeral services for Hope Wintch were held on Saturday. All of her children and family members were in Tropic for the services. Hope was surely loved by her many Tropic friends. Bob R. Sudweeks was in Ephraim during the week. Marian and Malen Mecham and Erma and Dean Wintch were in St. George attending LDS temple sessions. ses-sions. The Ron McGee family spent a few days with Minnie Nielsen. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hall, Ogden, visited with John and Marie Niemann. Nie-mann. Gerry Moon was in Salt Lake City during the week. LaFaun Pollock and three daughters, daugh-ters, Linda Jackson, Lorna Barnhurst Barn-hurst and Marie Barnson and Mervin Barnhurst were in Provo where LaFaun was fitted for glasses. Betty Lou Hepworth and Arvon Button visited with the E.R. Shakespears. Randall K. Spencer, son of Randall Ran-dall and Pam Spencer of Longmont, Colo., and grandson of Kent Na Betty Wintch of Tropic, won with his team the Jessup International Southwest Regional Moot Court Championships. His four -member team represented Brighaam Young University Law School Th team will now hav ethe opportunity to compete in the world championships champi-onships in Washington, D. C. beginning be-ginning March 29. |
