Show Otts Will Celebrate Golden Wedding Dav TROPIC Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ott will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, August 11 in Tropic. Wallace Ott married Mary Middleton at the St. George LDS Temple on November 20, 1934. They will be honored with an open house sponsored by their cildren to be held at Bryce Valley High School on Saturday at7:30p.m. There will be a special program at 8 p.m. followed by refreshments and dancing. Mr. Ott served on the the Bureau of Land Management Advisory Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ott Board for 30 years, on the Garfield County School Board for 12 years, as county commissioner for six years, as a member of the board of directors of Garkane Power Association for 24 years and ad mayor of Tropic for four years. Both have been active members of the LDS church with Mrs. Ott serving as Relief Society president, as a Relief Society teacher, and as Primary president and Mr. Ott serving in a variety of church positions. The Ott s have nine children : Mrs. Orrice (Marilyn) Murdock, Der-wood, Mrs. Bert (Irene) Emett, Veyo, Utah; Wallace Ott, Jr., Flagstaff, Ariz.; Thomas Brent Ott, Tacoma, Wash.; Lloyd Ott, Ogden, Utah; Mrs. LaMontte (Sandra) Houston, Blythe, Calif.; Sherrell Ott, Tropic; Mrs. Gary (Kathy) Davis, Toquerville, Utah; and Kim Ott, Binghamton, N.Y. They also have 21 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the open house. The family has requested no gifts please. |
