Show Lymans Set Open House For 50th Wedding Day ESCALANTE Randel and Gwen Hickman Lyman will celebrate 50 years of marraige with an open house at Escalante High School Sunday evening from 4 until 7 j.m. Randel Lyman married Gwen Hickman at Teasdale on October 8, 1934. Their marriage was later solemnzied at the Manti LDS Temple. The two have lived most of their married life in Escalante where Mr. Lyman built and operated the Padre Motel. He earlier owned and operated a sawmill there in conjunction with his father and opera (ftl the first telephone company in Escalante. The two have been active members of the LDS Church and contributed to community service in the Escalante area. They are parents of six children: Richard, Bountiful; Mrs. Jim (Deanna) Greer, Tremonton; Mrs. Reldon (Rosemary) Palmer, Bountiful; Mrs. Milton (Joyce) Woolsey, Delano, Calif.; Blaine, Escalante; and Mrs. Jim (Evelyn) Corning, Lincoln, Neb. They have 28 grandchildren and one great - grandchild. Their children who have planned the open house for all friends and relatives of the couple have requested no gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Randel Lyman |
