Show FmHA Gianges Noted in Organization Under a reorganization of the Fanners Home Administration (FmHA) in Utah, Kendall Brinkerhoff will be returning to Panguitch to serve as county supervisor beginning May 1. Brinkerhoff, who had been serving in the Cedar City District office had formerly served in Panguitch for several years. Former county supervisor Glen Tingey transferred to the Delta office of FmHA recently. The FmHA U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has reorganized its Utah operations in conformance with new policy directions according to E. Lee ' Hawkes, state director. District offices in Provo and Cedar City will be closed and personnel reassigned to county offices. "The new organization strengthens the delivery system of our family farm and housing credit programs and puts added emphasis on counseling and servicing of the Agency's loan portfolio," Hawkes said. The reorganization increases the number of people available for supervising and servicing loans in the field without increasing the federal payroll. Community programs, rental housing, and administrative duties formerly handled by the Provo and Cedar City offices will be transferred to existing offices in Ogden, Price and Richfield. Also serving in the Panguitch office are Lola Henrie as full time County Office Assistant and Erna Riggs as County Office Clerk, a part-time position. |
