Show Miss Bruhn Will Be Bride Of Mr. Dirks Mr. and Mrs. William G. Bruhn of Bountiful announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Barbara Bruhn to A. Stephen Dirks of Ogden. The bridegroom is the son of Herbert L. Dirks and Mary Ellen Delong Dirks. Both the bride and bridegroom's parents are longtime Panguitch residents. The wedding will take place on July 19 in the Union Station Grand Lobby at Ogden. Present and former Garfield County residents are invited to participate in a reception honoring the bridal couple, to be held in the Union Station Grand Lobby, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on July 19. The bride is employed as the executive assistant to the Ogden Chamber of Commerce and editor of the Ogden Observer. She is a member of the Ogden Altrusa Club, attended Weber State College and worked for Sen. Frank E. Moss and Congressman D. Wayne Owens in Washington, D.C. The bridegroom also attended Weber State College and is mayor of Barbara Bruhn the city of Ogden, and has been elected to that position for four successive terms. He serves as chairman of the Ogden Redevelopment Agency, and as president of the Golden Spike Empire. He is a member of the Advisory Committee on Community Schools, and a member of the Central Weber Sewer District Board. He also serves as a member of the Weber County Industrial Bureau Board as well as the Union Station Development Corporation and the Governors Advisory Council on Community Affairs. The couple will reside in Ogden. |
