Show Mr. and Mrs. Clement Johnson Johnsons To Note 50th Anniversary TROPIC Mr. and Mrs. Clem Johnson will be honored with an open house and a special program in the Tropic War Cultural hall from 7 until 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 13, 1929intheManti IDS Temple and both have been active in the LDS church all their lives. They are known for their devotion to and knowledge of the scriptures. Mr. Johnson served a mission to the western states and has been serving as the Tropic ward clerk. He has been a full-time farmer. Mrs. Johnson is a talented seamstress and is noted for her lovely quilts. She has served recently on the Escalante stake Relief Society board as spiritual living leader. She also worked with the senior citizens nutrition project in the county. They are parents of seven children, 28 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Their children are: Howard, deceased, whose widow, Carolyn, resides Spanish Fork; LaVon, Jamesville, Wis., Dawn Asay, Ogden; Derrell, LoVisa Hurtada, both Salt Lake City; Martha Diamond, Pay son; and Jay, Provo. The Johnson family cordially invites all friends and relatives to attend. |
