Show Decoys Provide Pair Temporary Hunt Thrill When a father and his two sons get together to spend the day it is not at all surprising what they may decide to do. The Jake Bagnell family decided to go to a certain area they had heard was great rabbit hunting. They were driving along in the car when all of a sudden, right in front of them, they saw the most beautiful sight! One big beautiful goose would have been very exciting to the hunting trio but when they saw a flock of about 14 geese, the anticipation of having goose dinner was almost too much for them, Since Jake had just had an operation on his foot, he was unable to go to the flock so his boys, Dale and Jerry helped him onto the hood of the car so he could see what was going on and get a few shots in himself. The boys dropped to the ground, edging themselves closer and closer to the flock. "When I took that first shot," Dale Whispered, "you fire into those flying away." The opportunity came, Dale took the first shot, down went one of the geese, Jerry shot a second goose, their dad came through with the third, all three men hit their target. When they noticed something was not right, the rest of the geese were still sitting there, they had not flown away, they shot a few more times, still the flock remained on the ground. The beautiful dream of goose roasted to perfection, sitting on the kitchen table, with all the trimmings of mashed potatoes, salad, freshly baked rolls and steaming hot apple pie all vanished as they realized the geese l..
