At our meeting, Mrs. Rodger Rasmusson, our PTA president, announced that Mr. Al-den Black has a boy working on the master plans for the parking lot In back of the high school building. We are hoping the lot can be graveled before wet weather sets in. She also stated that Dr. Lee has agreed to help us with our Dental Clinic. This clinic will be open to the' children in the Elementary School and maybe a couple classes in the Intermediate School. Mr. Bruce Hronek, our program chairman, then led a discussion based on our theme "Beat Them or Greet Them." Guests on the panel were Bruce Owens, Joseph Foy, Al-den Black, who represented our schools, Kent Hortin represented the church, and Otho Bulkley represented our safety program. Discipline was the main topic, and each man had his own way of defining the word. But one thing they all agreed on was that discipline should start in the home and that no parent could be successful in raising his child to be a respectable citizen unless the parents themselves are well disciplined. One thing the PTA officers wish to impress on all parents Is that the PTA Is your organization and that all meetings, and projects are planned with your child's welfare In mind. Just how successful we are In achieving our goal depends on the support we receive from you. So when Ferral Huntsman, our membership and magazine chairman, comes to your door this month asking you to join your PTA, PLEASE join. Our next PTA meeting will be held Nov. 9th, so let us see you there, bring a friend,, and help make our next meeting a double success. Mrs. Hal Olsen, Public Relations Chairman |
