Show llll I pf Local and Society LISTON POUSON Mr. and Mrs. Harvey LIston of Escalante announce the marriage of their daughter, Utahna, to Hcber Elvonn Poul-son, son of the Heber Poulsons of Boulder. The marriage was solemnized In the Mantl Temple Sept. 10th, followed by a reception in the high school gym. The bridebroom is attending college in Logan and the bride is working in a beauty salon. ENGAGED Miss Sonja Sue Miller The engagement of Miss Son-ja Sue Miller to John R. Black was announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nyal Miller of Cedar City, former residents of Panguitch. The future bridegroom is the son of Mrs, Milt Jolley, and the late Alton Black.also of Cedar City. Both are 1965 graduates of Cedar High School and both have attended College of Southern Utah for the past year, Miss Miller was president of the Suah Kahne Pep Club at Cedar High School and was a member of the Mohey Iawa Marching Group. She was selected, in her senior year, as "Miss Football" and reigned over activities of the annual football dance. ' At CSU Miss Miller Is affiliated with the Phi Rho Omega social sorority, and a member of the "Thunderettes" marching group. Mr. Black was active in athletics, participating in three major sports at Cedar High School, including football, basketball and baseball. He was a member of the 1966 football squad at CSU. He was an officer of the Lettermen's Club at Cedar High School. At CSU he, was affiliated with the Sigma Pi fraternity. Both completed four years of study at the LDS Seminary. The future Mrs; Black is currently employed at the Mountain States -Telephone Co. and plans to continue her education at CSU while her fiance serves a mission for the LDS Church. 3 |
