Show Local and Society Sawyer Woodmansey The homo of Mr. and Mrs. David G. Sawyer of Hatch was the: setting Saturday evening for, the wedding of their daughter,' Valeene Mae, to Donald Arthur Woodmansey. Bishop Laytbn Barney feolemnized the ceremony. The bridegroom is a son of Robert Woodmansey of Whit-tier, Calif. Janet Allred and Karletta Lowder were bridesmaids. Da- rol D. Allred was bebt man. Following the ceremony the bridal couple greeted relatives and friends at a reception at the ward cultural hall. After the reception a program was presented with Ronald Sawyer as mafeter of ceremony. Dancing was enjoyed with the La-mond Davis orchestra playing. The color scheme for the evening was tealmon and white. A "Personal and Pound" shower was held in Valeene's honor Thursday at the home of her grandmother, Mik T. H. Sawyer; hostesses were her aunts Naomi Miller, Rhoana Findlay, Carma Sawyer, Jo-Anne Sawyer and Mrs. Sawyer. TO WED Mr. and Mr& Robert A. Mid-dleton of Grand Canyon, Arizona announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Marie, to Roy L. Stephenson of t 4 r Grand Canyon. The wedding ceremony will take place at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Willis, of Henrie-ville. An open house reception will follow at the Henrieville social hall from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. on August 13th. AU relatives and friends are invited to attend. TO WED Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Hen-rie announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Colene, to Keith Simklrfc, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard D. Simkins of Circleville. The young couple will exchange vows on August 20th in the Panguitch, Seminary building. A reception honoring the newlyweds will be held that evening at the Seminary building. Mias Henrie has graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor's degree in Business Education. Mr. Simkins has served in the U.S. Army, has attended Barber school and is now barbering in Panguitch. The young couple plans to live in Morgan where she will teach at the high school, and he will continue his education at Weber State College while working part-time 'as a barber. GRIENER SIIURTZ Klea Joy Griener became the bride of Ivan Shurtz in a double ring ceremony performed July 29 in the Relief Society room of the Boulder ward chapel. Garfield Stake President J. Clyde Spencer performed the rites. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mm Cecil Griener of Boulder and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Shurtz of Escalante. Both bride and groom graduated from Escalante High School. Klea Joy attended CSU last year. Ivan served two years in the U.S. Army. They will live In Ely, Nevada where Ivan to employed. |
