These folks visited at the Albert Gledhill home In Provo and report thm both looking well, their daughter Ncdra was down from Morgan with her five children and husband. A Bridal Shower was held at the Dee Haws home for their daughter Jean, a large crowd attended and tho young couple received many lovely and useful gifts. Roger Hamilton and Darrel Alvey were homo from Cedar for the weekend. In Sacrament meet ing Sunday the North warll time was taken up bv William and Amanda Mitchell; In the South Ben Cope, a returned missionary from Tropic, and Brother Johanscn, the Tropic Seminary teacher took up tho time, with an organ solo by Gloria Bailey, daughter of Gall. A Stake Welfare meeting was also held here in the South ward with a fair attendance considering the weather and road conditions, tho scheduled Fireside Chat was also held. Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Allen and Orilla Cowles made a business trip to Salt Lake City. In talking with Mrs. Al-den Moycs found that her son DeWayno Hafen is still in tho Service and overseas In a place that I can't spell or even say, ho is taking some kind of secret Radar training. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Whetin and family brought the remains of George T. Grouse here for burial, the grave was dedicated by the North ward Bishop, Doyle Cottam. Mrs. Whetin Is the former Wanda Grimes, stepdaughter of the deceased; they stayed at the Beumont Griffin home. The Sabbath Day is set apart to be a day of rest, wer'e told if we observe it that some day we'll be blessed; but if you go to all the meetings outlined for that day, when evening comes your resting time Is all meet-inged away. ENGAGED Miss Sandra Louise Fletcher Mr. and Mrs. J. Clele Flet-cher of Cannonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Louise (Sandy), to Mr. Willard S. Wright, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Wright of Blanding. Miss Fletcher is a former student of Utah SUte University, whero sho was affiliated with Lambda Delta Sigma. Sho also attended Henagcr's Business College, and Is presently employed In Salt Lake City. Mr. Wright is also a former student of USU, and has just recently returned from the Northern California Mission. He is at present attend-ing the University of Utah. The young couple are planning an early summer wedding in the Mantl Temple. |
