Dug gins of Panguitch announce (the marriage of their daughter, Blanche, to Mr. Richard Linford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Denny Linford of Panguitch. The young couple were married on December 27th at Las Vegas, Nevada. A trousseau tea honoring the bride will be held at her parents home Saturday, Jan. 9th, from 3 to 7 In tho afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Porter of Escalante announce the engagement of their daughter Yoland to Dave Mclnelly, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Mclnelly of Escalante. Dave is in the Service stationed at Fort Ord, and Yoland is a- senior in the local High School. The wedding date has not been set. ENGAGED Miss DeAnn Hansen Mr. and Mrs. Ethan L. Hansen of Kennewick, Washing ton announce the engagement of their daughter, DeAnn, to Luther Hagen Smith of Richland, Wash. Both the young .people are students at the BYU in Prove- and aro planning a summer wedding. De Ann is a granddaughter of the S. J. Alveys of Escalante. ENGAGED Miss Roma Bailey Mr. and Mrs. Harvey C. Bailey of Salt Lake City announce the engagement of their daughter, Roma, to TS Kenneth G. Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Clark of Cannonvillo. Miss Bailey attended Escalante High before the family moved to Salt Lake where she graduated from Granite High School. She is a graduate of BYU and is at present employed at Pomona, Calif. Mr. Clark is stationed with the Air Force at the Clinton Sherman Base in Oklahoma. Tho wedding date has been set for June 17th at the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. RIGGS BROWN Miss Lcla Iliggs and Mr K. F. Brown were united in marriage in the St. George Temple on January 2, 1960. Attending the couple to the temple were the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Earnest Riggs of Hatch; parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs.Er-ving Weeks of Whittier, California; Mr. and Mrs. Vargc Christensen of Logan; Don Bickmore and Jay Luke of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Riggs of Hatch; Mr. and Mrs. Malen Mecham, Tropic. A family dinner was held at the home of the bride's parents, followed by a reception and dance at the Hatch Ward social hall in the evening. The bride greeted guests in a ballerina-length gown of white lace and net, her finger-tip veil of illusion with a high crown was touched with seed pearls and sequins; she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Maid of honor was sister of the bride, Miss Erna Riggs who wore a red velvet gown. Bridesmaids were Allene, Myma and Marilyn, sisters of the bride, and Sharron, sister of the bridegroom; Diann Porter was junior bridesmaid and Michele Riggs and Cher-rinc Heap were flower girls; they all wore gowns of red lace over red taffeta. Varge Christensen acted as best man and ushers were Ivor Riggs, Wallace Heap, ,Don Bickmore and Jay Lake. The reception was attended, by a Urge number of relatives and friends. |
