Joining the ranks of early fall brides Is lovely Miss Edith Figle, daughiter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Figle of Syracuse, New York. She became the bride of Cloyd John Mecham, son of Mr. and Mrs, John Mecham of Tropic, Sept. 24th, In the Tropic LDS chapel. Bishop Malen A. Mecham, an uncle of the groom, officiated at tthe impressive double ring wedding rites, attended by relatives and friends. The bride wore a beautiful white lace gown with portrait neckline. The fitted bodice mo-drl was princess style, featuring a ballerina length skirt. Completing Ithe bridal gown was a flngerrtlp veil, attached to a small cap of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet ot white asters. . Miss Lorraine Irwin, Syracuse, was maid of lion ' ie wore n tourquolse bin " l.t e dress, with hat and accebsoiies to match, and carried a bouquet of button chrysanthemums. w jaary.DonIe chamjjrotliejof the groom, was ring bearer, and May Belle Butler was" flower girl, Lamolne Pollock was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Figle, parents of the bride, flew by plane from New York Jto be In attendance. Following the ceremony a reception and program honoring the newlyweds was held In the Tropic Recreation Hall. The young couple left Monday for Syracuse where Mr. Mecham will enter Syracuse University. |
