Show I Sad Ending of Beautiful Young Lady n Miss Alberta Phelps, daughter of B. II. Phelps of this city, who . Lindsay and was taken to tho Stato Mental (Hospital at ProVo, passed away from tho effects of tho terrible ordeal she was subjected to, last Saturday. Her unfortunato ending is a Bad occurrence and the sympathies of all go out to her bereaved rather, sisters and brother who arc heart-broken over tho affair. No punlshmout can be to severe for tho wretch or wretches who Tare responsible for tho untimely death of this beautiful young lady. Dr. W. M. Cragun did all in his power to bring her back to consciousness from tho of-t of-t fects of the damnable drug which was believgdjtoihavobeoiuad- : niluisteredloirfif by this demon, ! but all efforts failed. Lindsay was bound over to the District Court and is now in tho county Jail awaiting trial. Since tho girl's death, it is probable prob-able that a mora serious charge will bo lodged against him. i FUNERAL SERVICES ' Very Impressive services were held at tho First ward chapel in Payson, at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. There was a largo attendance and tho floral offerings offer-ings were very beautiful. Bishop Loveless presided. Prof. Nelson rendered tho solo,"Faco to Faco" and tho prayer waB offered by John Le wis. Duet "Unanswered U ' Yet," by Prof. Nelson am' Miss Cutler. Tho speakers we're Elder J. J. Scharrer of Payson, and Elder John J. Shulnwny of Garland. Both speakers referred re-ferred to tho good diameter of ' Miss Phelps and stated that sho had been more sinned against than sinning; also that tho fam ' Hy need have no regrets on her part that slip was the victim of miserable wretches who will bo held responsible before God and man for hor death. A solo, "0 Dry Those Tears, was rendered by Miss Jaunita Recce. Tho closing hymn by the choir was "I Need Thee Every Hour." Tho remains were interred bv tho I side of her mother In the Payson City 0611161017. Those who attended tho services ser-vices from this city were B. H. Phelps, Mrs. Odcll Grover, Mrs. G. M.
