They woro accompanied by Mrs. A. M. Granger who will spend a few weeks in the state capital. Last Saturday evening Jas. 1 H. Garbanati, E. V. Schneider J and wife, James Ilonnengorl and a traveling man drove to i Brigham ,aud back again in Garbanati's automobile. They made a record-breaking trip both ways and had a very enjoyable en-joyable time. As an advertising medium the Foulger Company gave away 200 base balls and bats to tho boys of this city and vicinity vi-cinity last woek. Tho bats woro very neat painted "sticks" and tho balls were daises each bore the words "Tho Foulger Co." Every boy who received one was tickled to death. Boll 'phone 52. W. H. Clayton brought to tho Globe office Wednesday a fine largo plum that looked like a half-ripe tomato. Ho asked us to name it. Ho had forgotten tho name of the tree and camo to us f o r information. Of course an editor is supposed to know everything. Woll wo hunted tho town over to find a man who could name tho plum and at Inst bumped into a drummer who said: "Its a Japanese Jap-anese Plum, J have eaten many ' of them." A jolly crowd of young marri-ed marri-ed folks from this city left early Tuesday morning for alO-days' outing in Logan canyon. At Clarkston thoy were joined by another jolly crowd which swelled swell-ed the party to a good-sized aggregation of pleasure seekers. 1 Those of this city were Messrs and Mesdames J. J. Shumway, J. Tho premium list and tho rules and regulations of tho 32nd exhibition of the Utah State Fair Association came to our desk Tuesday of this week. Tho exhibition will bo hold at the State Fair Grounds, Salt Lake City, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 3rd,4th, 5th, 6th, 7thand8th, 1910.
