Show Pledged Not to I' Drink in Cafes Or to Attend Thoators or Picture Pic-ture Shows on the Sabbath Day Mutual Improvo-i Improvo-i $y mout Membors of '6 Stakes Are to Labor For Half-Holiday Each Week. i "Bolieviug as we do, that tho strength of a community lies in the moral, upright living of the people and that such a condition can best bo secured by a wholesome whole-some observance of the Sabbath day, the laws of virtue, tompor- anco and sobriety,and that each individual can directly contribute contri-bute to tho bottorment of existing exist-ing condition, it is "Resolved, by the officers and teachers of the Young Men's and Young Ladies' Mutual Improvement Improve-ment association of tho Weber, Ogden and North Weber Stakes, in conference assembled : "That wo will uso our utmost endeavors to securo tho sotting apart and observance each week during tho summer season, of a half-holiday, on a day other than Sunday, and the uso of the same for ball games, races, excursions ex-cursions and other out of door sports and amusements that are uow frequently appointed for Suuday; "That wo will rofrain from visiting theaters, picture shows, ball games, races, pleasure resorts re-sorts or other places of amusement amuse-ment on the Sabbath Day, and urge our friends and associates to do likewise; "That we will not visit restaurants restau-rants or cafes where intoxicating intoxicat-ing beverages aro served or can be procured on order; "Thatwhilo in any restaurant or cafo we will avoid sitting in booths or compartments secluded seclud-ed from the view of othors by curtains or partitions."
