Show District S. S. Convention. . Officer and teachers of the Box Elder, Malad, Weber, Summit and Morgan stakes met last Sunday In Convention at Ogdcn over 1,600 people being In attend ance. There were four sessions three of them being held in the Weber Academy hall and an evening session in the Tabernacle. There were In attendance fifteen members of the Dcseret Sunday School union board, tho presidency of each of the five stakes was represented and members of the bishopric from each ward, At all the sessions Charles J. Ross was chairman, Miss c Annie B. Brown was secretary, Joseph' Ballantyne, musical director, and Ernest Obcrn, organist. All the papers read were of a high class and showed that great thought, study and care was used In preparation. The discussions were very animated and considerable enthusiasm followed on each topic, all of which proved very beneficial. At the last session held In tho tabernacle In the evening, and which had a rccord-brcakiug attendance, tbo speakers speak-ers were President Moses W. Taylor of the Summit stako7 President L. W. SburtllfT of the Weber stake, George M. Cannon of Salt Lake, and Elder David O. McKay of Ogden. The topics handled han-dled were Sunday amusements and homo entertainments and were the means of giving some very valuable Information In-formation and t bought uu tho proper way of speudlng the Sabbath.
