Show RIVERSIDE. A room and contents of J. R. Kennard 'h homo was destroyed by flro last Saturday Satur-day night. Mr. and Mrs. Kcnuard started for Garland at about 7 o'clock to be present at tho Primary doings, but Mrs. Kennard had fnrgotton hor hat and they returned for It and sent a little boy into tho house to get it. Soon after they mado tho second start, fire brpke out nnd noighbors camo to tho rescue It is supposed the lad must have stepped upon a match or perhaps struck n match to And tho lint nnd failed to thoroughly extinguish It which caused tbo blnzc. L, II. Kennard, whllo attempting to put out the flro cut the cords of his right hand on n broken window pane which rendered two flngurcs practically useless. Tho flro wns controlled nt Inst nnd tho rest of tho building saved. Tho loss Is estimated nt 3300.00 with no insurance. Sir. Kennard hns began tho building of a rpom to tnke the place of tho one destroyed. Tho Misses Annie nnd Zolla McComby of Salt Lake are tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen A Hnles.
