Show TOWN BOARD. Tho Board met In regular session Tuesday evening, Aug. 4th. All members mem-bers wero present. Mr. Eph Coombs, proprietor of the Club saloon, nppcared In answer to a chargo of conducting a disorderly house. Attorney F. Ncbcker of Logan was also present and spoke In behalf of Mr. Coombs. The matter was discussed dis-cussed -Vy all rsembcrs present and upon ovldonco produced, a motion provalled that Mr. Coombs bo allawod to continuo tho sale of liquor, providing provid-ing he comply strictly with tho Town ordinance:. Committee appointed to revise Town ord'.i.Micei reported good prog, rcss and stated the same would bo ready to present at next regular xucnt-ing. xucnt-ing. Committee on locating a Town dumping ground, asked to bo given more time. Granted. By motion duly made, seconded and carried, tho rato of taxation for municipal mu-nicipal purposes upon all properly within tho corporate limits of the Town of Garland for tho year 1908, was affixed at 2 '4 mills. A number of bills were allowed. Meeting adjourned until Tuesday, Sept. 1st, 1908. |
