Show Passing of Esfella S. Welling. A NOBLE WOMAN CALLED HOME. Estclla Sccrist Welling, wife of Franklin D. Welling of this city and a daughter of Bishop J. M. Se-crist, Se-crist, deceased, of Farmington, died Monday, Feb. ist, at 3:20 p. m. at tlio L. D. 8. Hospital at Bait Lnku City of cerebral hemmorhage. She was taken to the hospital about two r weeks ago with the intention of un- ' dcrgoing a delicate operation but the operation was postponed owing to her weakened condition The best of care and attention was given her at the hospital, but she gradually gicw worse and pasjed peacefully away as stated above. Her sudden demise wa3 a" severe shock to the entire community who Ihavc all entertained hopes of her speedy recovery. A sorrowing husband and four children Franklin aged 17 years, Rcy S. aged 13 years, Emery J. aged ag-ed 1 1 years and Estclla agcd 9 years survive her also the following brothers and sisters: T. E. Se-sion Se-sion in the Southern States, Cha3. A. and Henry Sccrist of Farming-ton, Farming-ton, Horace Sccrist, who is attending attend-ing the University of Wisconsin, Mrs. Annie Layton of Kaysville and Miss Ethlyn Sccrist of Farmington, who is attending the B. Y. College at Provo; also a host of relatives and friends. The body was prepatcd for burial bur-ial at the undertaking parlors of Jos. Wm. Taylor and brought to this city Tuesday evening. A large crowd of sympathizing friends met the evening train and accompanied the remains to the residence. Mrs. Welling was born in Farmington Farm-ington April 24, 1874. Was well known everywhere for her noble traits of character. Was an affectionate affec-tionate wife, a loving mother and a true Latter-Day Saint. ' -. Mr. and Mrs. Welling moved to (this valley from Farmington about V 1 ' '5 years ago and have resided here ijW . ever since, being one of the. pioneer1 ' iif families. |
