Show TREE rL the spirit of tree planting seems to have taken hold of the people throughout the entire country not only the planting ot of trees but trees of a uniform variety there la Is a greater domand demand than ever before for shade trees within the larger cities and all cities ot of the country there is nothing that will add more to the beauty ot of a city than well selected shade trees and at the same game time they are very beneficial to the citizens especially ta in hot weather in looking over views ot of the city ty of washington one cannot help but no ao tace and admire the beautiful shade trees they are seen standing along the sides of the streets like great giants of the forest with their largel large limbs and branches extending tar far out into the street and over the sidewalks they look very inviting and male make the I 1 city look like a real city or of homes I 1 Brig brigham bain city is to see its first real uniform tree planting this spring it if plans now non under way materialize ina in I 1 the establishment ot of the curb and gutter district last fall all on south main street one part of the contract was that trees of a uniform variety be planted on cm either side of the street this spring this is only part ol of a plan to curb and gutter main street from the extreme limits on the south to the northern boundary of the city when this Is done we will have one of the most beautiful thoroughfares in the state then too in the new district the ground between the curb and gutter and the he sidewalks Is to be and beautiful lawns maintained there is an ordinance in this city providing for the planting of certain trees on certain cerialo streets and the general planting plan has been gone over by former city councils and settled tor for all time leis it la left to us now to work to this plan and make Br ighani city the city of homes all that the word implies a beautiful place in which to dwell the planting of trees should be encouraged cou raged under proper supervision and the spring is the time ot of the year in which to plant trees every citizen should look over his premises and see bee it if the addition of a tine fine shade t tree ree will not add to the beauty ot of the place and it if so by all means plant trees this spring |
