Show Utah Teachers Will M Come to Convention. Two thousand teachers of Utah are oxpectcd in Salt Lake dur- nig the Christmas holidays, to 'iH attend the annual convention fH of tho Utah State Teachors' as- ' jH sociation to bo hold here Dec- j ember 27, 28 and 29. There aro jH now about 2,200 teachers in Utah IH and it is believed that all but jH about 200 from tho more remote sections of the state will be in 'H attendance upon the meeting. ' jH Local committees have been busy arranging for the annual. convention, in the hone of mak- ing it tho most successful in the history of tho association. At ' the convention in Provo last jH year, about 1,500 teachers wore in attendance, and about 1,800 ''jM at Ogden tho year previous. The meetings in Salt Lake will be held at tho High school, !fl Barratt hall and tho Assembly hall. At tho conclusion of the three days meetings, a dance fl will bo given at the Odoon or somo other hall in Salt Lake. H Ada Van, Stone Harris, Dr. Henry Suzzallo and Thomas M. Balliet will dolivor lectures. Miss Harris has a natural rep- fl utation in primary and kindor-garten kindor-garten work and will speak on rH thoso subjects to the teachers of tho lower grades. Dr. Simello will bo remembered by the H teachers who attended tho con- tH vontion a year ago. Ho holds ffl tho chair of economics at Co- H lumbia university, and will dis- 'fl cuss a wide rango of subjects H at the meetings here.
