Show Calendar Compliments. Most all of tho business tiniis of Garland are in the "swim" this stiason with handsome calendars for their patrons and friends. To date, tho Globe acknowledges, with thanks, the receipt of beautiful calendars from the following business houses and a brief discription of each of them is given below: "Bunk of Garland Large calendar cal-endar 14x12, inches; reproduction reproduc-tion in photo-color from the 'original painting by Harrison Fisher of the "Fisher Girl." ' This one is the finest out yet. W. L. Grover & Sons Handsome Hand-some lithograph 9x14 inches in (i or 7 colors, "Venetian Glo- ' ries." The lithograph is mounted mount-ed on a tine dark blue card , 20x15 inches. Two styles out. ! J. W. Lewis, jeweler "The Old Kentucky Hqmo," ropro- ' duced by photo-color from the original painting by Edwin Lam asuro. The litho or photo-color ' is oval-shaped and neatly inonnt- ! ed on white marble board. The Foulger Co Neat photo-color photo-color of tho "Vassal Girl," 7x12 inches. This is a very pretty calendar, after the order of the Bank of Garland's large one. B. M. & P. Co.-Booth's calendar cal-endar is a very pretty girl clad in moldish gown and hat of bright scarlet, reproduction in photo-color from the original painting of "Marion" by Palm. Tho young lady is carrying a bouquet of white chrysanthemums. chrysanthe-mums. Jonson B r o s. Handsomely embassed lithograph 9x17 styled "Roses." A very pretty little girl with an armful of various colored roses is peeping out from behind a dark red curtain. She is dressed in a green dress trimmed in white, which makes a very pretty contrast. Garland Mercantile Co "The Diamond Brand" girl, handsomo hand-somo lithograph 10x17 of a pretty young lady who looks pleasant onough to make you boliovo'she is woaring a pair of Peter's Diamond Brand Shoos. The friends and patrons of Ritor Bros. Drug store wore presented with a large ther-momotor ther-momotor that is a daisy. Just tho thing yo editor needed. Tho Garland Milling Co.-Two styles of calendars woro issued by the Garland Milling Co., both lino lithographs. One was tho picture of a handsomo littlo lad, clad in Miller's clothes, standing on sacks of flour from I tho Garland flour mill and emptying loaves of broad into a : big barroll. Tho otlior ivas a "harvest?' calendar, in tho center of which was a charming lady standing by a sack of tho Company's famous flour and surrounded by numerous littlo boys and girls who woro harvesting har-vesting the wheat, sowing tho sacks and making pios and tarts out of tho celebrated flour made by tho Garland Milling Co. Rev. Irl R. Hicks 1910, Almanac, Al-manac, one of tho best on tho market, is numbered with our collection of caiondars and is a valuable and useful almanac that can't bo beat. |
