Ho read the parables of the Lost Shcop nnd the Prodigal Son for his text and dls cussed the subjects of activity, love and resK)iisblllty as foundation stones in Guardianship work among tho young, ills address was plain and pointed nnd full of good advico, substantiated by proofs of pracital experience In Juvenile courts. Tho regular Monthly S S union meeting meet-ing of thu North District was held at Elwood Sunday, August 10, 1008, at 6 p m. Supt. Justin D Call presiding and conducting tho exercises. There wero 18 members of the board presont and 5 excused. There were 131 ofllcers and teachers, 0 excused nud 45 visitors, making mak-ing a grand total of 100 present.
