Tbe cattle supply continues liber-al, liber-al, 45,000 head last week, nn increase of 13,000 head over corresponding week last year, and the market held up about btcady all week, except ou stockcrs and feeders, which broke !ia to 40 cents. Today's To-day's supply is 11,000 bead, market a shade lower on killing steers, steady on others, stockcrs and feeders stronger than jthe close of last week. Country grades sold slowly last week, account of absence of buyers, and prices closed the week 35 to GO cts. below the best time two or three weeks ago. Shipments from the range country have hecu limited duriny the last week, and sales of Colorado cut-1 tie were at 5 15 for 1122 lb. killers, 4 23 ' to 4 GO for heifers, a fow cauner cows at j 3 00, stockcrs and feeders 3 00 to 4 30, bulis3 85,stags4 00. Calves broke 75 I cents to 1 00 last week, now selling at ' !l 50 to 5 50. Good rains bavo fallen over Kansas City territory during the last two days, which will give new life to thu grass, and will further Improve the deuulud for country grades of cattle. Total cattle receipts for the mouth of April show a galii of 20?i over April last year, and set a uev high murk for April cattle receipts at this market. The high prices that have recently j been paid for sheep and lambs have at-' traded fulrly good receipts, and the do- j mand Is nut so urgent as it was a week j ago. Prices declined slightly last week on receipts of 31,000 bead for tho week, and the market h 10 lower today, run 10,000 bead.
