Show PIONEER CALLED BI DEATH last evening at marla maria thomas bywater passed on oil to that rest which 1 I she so richly deserved atter after ax a c I 1 illness I 1 n 0 f three months with dropsy nor flor many years mrs bywater was a sufferer with rheumatism until about tour four years ago when she slipped and tell fell fracturing her hip bone that accident while bringing a terrible affliction also brought a blessing for from that time she never suffered a moments ts discomfort from rheumatic pains during her last illness mrs airs bywater suffered greatly because ot of it being impossible lor or her to lie down and she was forced to sit up tip in a chair constantly through it all she was patient however and cheered her family eatherd around her frequently giving expression to the gratitude she felt for the many blessings which she enjoyed sirs mrs bywater was born in ili clamor danshire gan shire south wales february ath 1840 her father was the late william T thongs i ionas who came to this city in 1852 with its his family and located in the old fort several years later part of the family removed to malad but eliut mrs bywater has watched the growth and development of this community from that early date and she suffered all the I 1 privations incident to pioneer life as well as the trials incident to that period when the members of the dominant cheich were persecuted for conscience sake she was married to the late james jamea bywater on oil july 1857 and was the mother of ten children eight of whom survive her six daughters and two sons mrs bywater has always been an active and faithful member and worker in the relief society organization until her infirmities S and advancing years made it impossible tor for her to take an all active part she was a very ambitious woman and loved flowers maintaining right up to the very last her flower garden in front of her home she was a woman whose sympathies extended to all the oppressed and unfortunate and by her gentle spirit and encouraging words she always took delight in ministering unto those who were in trouble she was truly one of those who blazed the trial and helped to lay the found foundations foundation atio 8 of the present civilization and the world has been made infinitely better belter by her having lived in it besides the children who are ally alive e there here aro are alro alo al o 5 51 grand children andzs great grand children practically all of mrs bywaters old friends and ac have preceded her to the kotlier tl life if and she was fully prepared and anxious to go funeral services will be held in the second ward chapel on sunday afternoon beginning at 3 0 clock |
