Show West Portage News, Miss Eva Hawks and Chester Hall, two of our most popular young people", were married at Malad City, May 14th A reception was given that evening at the home of the bride, where nbout fifty guests were entertained, Everybody enjoyed en-joyed themselves the following evening dancing at tne expense of Mr. Hall who now thinks he has all he needs to make life happy. On May 16th, Elder James M. Glhhs of Blackfoot, came Into our town to pay us a short visit after an abseucc of three and one-half years. Elder Qlbbs just returned re-turned from New Zealand where he has been laboring as a missionary . Yesterday Yester-day bo left for Hlackfoot, where his relatives rela-tives aud friends were anxiously awaiting await-ing his arrival. Elder Wm. O. Hosklns of this town, returned homo May 17th from his mission mis-sion to the Southern Slates, where he has been laboring for the past leu months. He was released ou account of poor health. Levi Wise and Lafayette Orover were visitors at this place Sunday. Miss Ray Hosklns aud Mrs. Kffle Hosklns Hos-klns are cooking for a crew of sheep shearers at a sheep corall just west of Washakie. Stake Pres. Philcne Hall and lst.Coun. Christina MoCary left yesterday afternoon after-noon to visit the Primary Associations of the wards in the southern part of Malad Stake. Our district schools have closed for the season Children enjoyed the last day of school In dancing aud watching our largerlrls play basket ball. Miss Thclla Clayton spent a few days of last week in our town. Miss Alice l.ougstroth, Messrs. Wm. Long&troth aud Veru Ulrd all of Mcndou spent a few happy hours in Portage last week. May 21st, 1907.
