Show u R Y RESIDENT DIES at 9 friday morning thomas whitaker passed away at the hospital caused from a clot on the brain he has been ill since december and for some time the doctors were unable to locate the trouble thursday he was removed to the hospital and after a careful examination it was discovered the skull had been fractured caused from an automobile accident A clot of blood was causing the trouble immediately preparations were made for an operation but the unfortunate man passed away before this service could be rendered he was born at willard january 30 1859 after growing to manhood he married miss susan stokes of perry for the past 25 years they have resided on the farm at promontory A few weeks ago he was driving his car near bear river city in a blinding snow storm and collided with another car and sustained injuries on his back and head his condition was not considered in any way serious he was still able to be up and around later he became ill and was brought to brigham city but his case was difficult to diagnose and finally he was removed to the hospital with the results as stated above mr whitaker was an honest hardworking man and a good provider he leaves many friends who mourn his death besides Beside si his wife lie is survived by three sons and five daughters all married except the youngest son david J who assisted his father on the farm he also leaves 20 grandchildren funeral services were held in the third ward chapel Test yesterday erday afternoon under the direction ot of bishop fred peterson ot of penrose the speakers included A B taylor it E davis S N cook of willard bishop almon wight ot of thatcher bishop win dick bide more of corinne Corl bishop P N pierce eugene miller filter bishop HW 4 V valen bishop Peter seii seti the T e prayers were offered by patriarch E P cordon ot of willard and william jeppson the body was interred in the local cemetery here |
