Show chances are better for improved road thru salina canyon cany on chairman moroni jensen of the board ot of county commissioners commissioners ners G A staples and D 0 burgess and county attorney T A hunt were in salt lake city wednesday of last week to confer with tho the state road commission and state road engineers regarding the unsatisfactory highway conditions in salina canyon and complaining about being refused to see tho the map of tho the survey which had been made last fall at tho the expense ot of tho the county it developed that the map has not yet been completed and the commissio era were given the promise by chairman H 11 blood of 0 the state road c commission om mission that map and data will be compiled before july 6 A conference will then be arranged in the canyon on july 6 between the county commissioners the state road commission the LT S bureau of public roads the IT S forest service and railroad officials to discuss further plans it la Is hoped that after this extended delay an agreement will finally be ba reached whereby the vehicle road ill through rough the canyon can be improved at least so far that the frequent crossings over the railroad track will be ba eliminated thereby enabling the railroad to run trains to the coal mines richfield reaper |
