Show useful life has rest at last mrs sarah ann Sud morrell tied died monday morning at the homo home of her daughter mrs emma munson at tropic while silo sho sat fiat at the breakfast table death was due to old age and general debility the body was taken to Cir circleville cleville whore funeral services were held in tho the ward chapel ir r lor jer tho the direction of elder arvai 1 ullmer allmer of 0 the bishopric choir sang 0 my father prayer was offered by elder james ruby huby ch choir air sang sister thou wast mild and lovely the speakers were elders lorin Ful fullmer liner ambrose and arvil fullmer A solo beautiful city was wag tendered rendered by mrs haycock singing by choir Beho benediction diction was pronounced by elder charles charlea dalton jr interment was in the city cemetery where the grave was dedicated by elder dwight fullmer sarah ann daughter of henry and sarah sweet was born in la sallo county illinois on june 4 1811 1844 at the age of 0 nine yeam she crossed the plains in moses mosea Claw sons company ur riving in salt lake city in 1853 when a young woman she met and married henry morrell shortly afterward they moved to mill creek having been called there by president young soon afterward they were called to salt creek Nep hl to help strengthen that settlement their next move was to dixie where they underwent the trying hying conditions of 0 settling that country while there her husband work ed ad on the st george temple being one of 0 the outside decorators their next move was to cedar city thence to what is now junction when they arrived there wore were but two families at that place her husband bought out their holdings they next moved to kingston where she was made the first president of the relief society under the united order she presided at kingston tor for ten years when they moved to Cir circleville cleville where she was again made president of the relief lief society at that place which position silo she held for twenty five years she also served as president of the primary association and was sunday school teacher in the wards tor for many years her home was ever open to the needy she raised several orphan children besides her own family she was tho mother of eleven children eight of whom prece proceeded eded her in death the three surviving children all of whom were at the funeral are mrs airs sarah D G Pan gultch utah mrs addle johnson ol of richfield utah and mrs airs emma munson of trople tropic twenty civo grandchildren and fifty nine great grandchildren sister morrell will be greatly missed she has been a remarkable character in the community her congenial smile aud motherly nature has blessed many homes in many tarts parts of our state and when the roll is called tor for those who have been a blessing to acir fellow man she will answer 1 I be truthfully aa said id am here it can of her to know her was to love her to to her name none hut but praise |
