Show HEALTH OFFICERS APPOINTED city sanitary inspector john M burt announces the appointment ot of the following assistants to work in each of 0 the tour four wards during the influenza epidemic elmo first ward max Flati fishburn burn second ward J frank bowring third ward arel jensen fourth ward these gentlemen should be called by anyone in need of 0 assistance in order to facilitate matters a bureau ot of information has been established at the city recorders office phone where calls tor for help will be filled and answered as quickly as possible and any information desired may be obtained mr air burt Is badly in need of nurses the other evening he was called to a home where the mother was in bed too ill to raise her head and three small children were crying about her bed mr air burt went into the home prepared some plasters tor for the sick mother cleaned up the house and got something to eat tor for the children and then had to leave last evening he remained at that home until eleven waiting upon the sick mother and caring for the little ones and reports them some better this morning situations like these could easily be taken care ot of it young ladies or women who can get away from their own families tor for part ot of the time would volunteer their services those who had the flu last year are regarded as immune as a general thing though there are several cases in the city at the present time where the patient is suffering tor for the second time the health inspector and his assistants are doing all in their power to alleviate the suffering and attend to the wants ot of the sick all the help that can be rendered them will be gratefully appreciated precia ted mr burt reports approximately cases of influenza at the present time ile he also states that he Is now bebin beginning to release some of the first to become afflicted |
