Show Bar Assoc ation Meeting;. In accordance with the published call a meeting of the members of the bar of the First Judicial district and the members elect of the constitutional convention was held Jan. 19, 1895, at 7:30 p. m. in the probate court room in. Trovo city, J. B. Milner.president of the bar association, presiding. In the absence of the secretary, E. A. Wilson was elected secretary" pro tem. After some preliminary remarks by J. W. N. WThitecotton and M. M. Warner, Mr. Warner moved that the president appoint a committee of five members of which the president shall be chairman, of the bar of this district, to formulate a suggestive article upon the judiciary of the etate constitution. The motion prevailed. Discussion was then proceeded w'th. The president appointed the following-named members of the bar as the committee before provided for; M. M. Warner, J W. N. Whitecotton, E. A. Wilson, E. A. Wedgwood, Mr. Knight moved that these meet inf s be held weekly and that when we adjourn it be until Saturday, January 26th, at 7:30 p. ra. Carried." . On motion of Mr. Wilson the members mem-bers elect to the constitutional convention conven-tion from all counties embraced in th9 First Judicial district were made honorary hon-orary members of this association during dur-ing this series of meetings, Adjourned, |
