On Sunday laBt the connection con-nection between the watermains and his range or cook stove was broken. It was thought that a safety valve had been placed in the hot water jacket, and that no injury would result. For eome unexplained reason no accident occurred occur-red yesterday, but this morning steam gathered in the jacket and just as the hired girl had gotten breakfast ready an explosion occurred. So violent was the explosion that both the jacket and stove were torn to pieces, the floor sustaining sus-taining the stove was broken through, a hole was bored through the ceiling, the walls were cracked, every window light in the dining room, kitchen and parlor, except two, were broken and several window frames were torn out. For a time it was thought that the hired girl, Mies Mary Ockander of Santaquin, was killed. She was stunned and fearfully blackened about the face.
