Show The Salt Lake papers this morning re filled with glowing descriptions of the sham battle fought yesterday at Fort Douglass and in which the soldiers sol-diers ot the regular army and members of the N. G. of U. participated. The affair was indeed a most pronounced success. It is reported from Ogden today that one William English was last evening killed at the union depot by a train running ove him. O. E. Fortkk and Geo. N, Coombs, two painters, fell about forty feet from a swinging scaffold on the McCornick residence in Salt Lake yesterday and received serious injuries. Porter will die.
