Show SON-PARTISAN SCHOOLS. In about three weeks the citiaens of Provo will have to choose five school traatees, and we do sincerely hope it will not be done upon a partisan basis. If it is possible to keep politics out of anything earthly, it Should be kept out of our echool8. It 8?errs to be utterly impossible to keep the churches out of politics, bat in the matter of education, edu-cation, it can be done if all on bot h j sideB who are opposed to politics in our schools will 'jdln in an honest effort ef-fort to banish thm from consideration in all cases where school interests enter. en-ter. To better carry out our ideas on this subject we suggest that a masB meeting be called at an early day to conBiderthe matter of the choice of trustees and to make nominations accordingly. ac-cordingly. Let there be no democrats and no republicans when it comes to the matter of choosing the board of school trustees. If the proper spirit is manifested in thia mass meeting we can eelect a board of public spirited gentlemen, lovers of schools, and willing to devote the necessary time t-them, men having a taete for that line of work, and thus will we be able to place our schools upon a solid and all-enduring basis and work cut for Provo and her school interests the very best possible results. Let there be an expression from our leading citizens of both partieB upon this vastly important matter and have it without delay. iV t o,jr no advantage, we only ask ' that a board be cWmen which will be fully competent for the wort in hand and which will doit, solely and only in the interest of the children.THE Dispatch Dis-patch will gladly publish brief and tersely written suggestions on this important subject eo as to secure an expression.
