Show Albert Wilmott and Zeliah E. Phillips, both of Springville and aged twenty-eight and twenty-one respectively, respec-tively, were the happy ones who called u,on ClerK llalliday yesterday and procured a marriage license, S. L. Tribute Leonard Fowler, a young stockman from Lehi (the Tribune Tri-bune eays Provo) came up yesterday in search of his wife and babe, who have abandoned him pending the prosecution pro-secution of a suit for divorce, and found them temporarily domiciled at the residence of Mr. John Beck, 55 North state street. Early last evening Fowler made his appearance at the door of the dwelling, and when admitted admit-ted demanded permission to see his wife. She met him in the hallway, where upon he demanded that she produce pro-duce the babe. This she declined to do. fearing that her hUBband intended violence. At this Fowler, she claims, became yery demonstrative and drawing draw-ing a revolver from his pocket snapped i. in her face, the hammer descending on a blank chamber. Mr. Beck, who had been aroused, hastened to intercede, inter-cede, and when unable to induce Fowler to leave dispatched his son for an officer. Patrolmen Roberts and Gillespie answered the summons and Fowler was placed under arrest and locked up. "O'Neil, Washington, D. C," which will be presented at the Provo opera house tomorrow (Thursday) by the favorite lriah-America.n comedian, Mr. Daniel Sully, and his excellent company is Eaid to be a hit very where. During its run at the Califorina theatre, San Frauciso, the critics awarded it great praise for its delightful delight-ful comedy and clean-cut dramatic lines. Ihe story has to do with an Irish-American inventor, Robert O'Neil, (Daniel Sully ) and his struggles with politicians and lobbiests at the natiou's capital in his efforts to interest inter-est the government in an electrical ap pliance for a man-ot' war. A delight', ful love story is interwoven with the plot and while it co;iuds serious at-ttntion, at-ttntion, the comedy sceue.8 which arise from the natural relations are the main features of the peiformance Everybody Every-body knows Mr. Suliy'a subfile skill and earnestness as an actor and with what deftness he bring3 about transactions trans-actions from tears to laughter, and the aid the author, Daniel L. Hart, with Mr. Sully'B charming personality in view, has given him many opportunities opportuni-ties for very effective scenes. |
