These is nothing new to report today to-day concerning the Pelican Point murder mur-der mystery other than the following hoax which appeared this morning in the Salt Lake Herald as a special from Butte, Mont.: ''There is no longer any doubt but that young Hayes, who is suepected of the murder of the three young men at Pelican Point, Utah, was in Butte for about six weeks prior to last Thursday. The Utah authorities were notified of his presence in this city over a week ago; but instead of taking some action for his apprehension the information in-formation was giyen to the associated prtBS and local papers, with the result that Hayes receive 1 warning and -dis- 1 appeared. The notice of bio presence in Butte even remains unanswered, and the action of the Utah authorities is eeverely criticised by the Butte of ficials."
