Show The trouble that has so long existed in CompaLy "I," N. G. of U. came up last evening before the members for decision, and Captain Canman was officially of-ficially guillotined. The trouble has been between the captain and Lieutenant Lieuten-ant Amens, each pioferring charges against the ether. Canman accused Aniens of neglect of dutv. Amens accused ac-cused Canman of misappropriating company funds. It will be remembered that one evening last fall the company gave a dance in the opera house and Captain Canman gave on the same evening a banquet. The settlement was never satisfactory to some of the company, particularly to Amens, aDd ever since that time other little un-pleasantries un-pleasantries have arisen and mattern in the company have not run at all smoothly. These complaints were lodged before the proper authorises but not in the proper manner. There were no funds in possession of the company with which to conduct a court martial, else the trouble would have been settled by court martial. Colonel Page ordered that the trouble be settled by the company itself. It was done last evening under the direction direc-tion of Lieutenant-Colonel Deuhalter. Twenty member cast ballots to BUotain Amens, seyen to sustain Canman and three cast blank ballots. It is expected that an election to fill the vacancy thus created will be ordered at once and held in about two weeks. ! |
