Show A nr:i"iii EXHIBITION. Salt Lake i ; r bad and will close a very succesuu! v.. exhibition, and why may not Provo i ve the same at an early day? Tl'.e I. lUh exhibit at the World's fair wi & ad aflair, but the most valuable oait of the Utah show was from this brave little city. Her mineral exhibit w;ie royally superb, her manufactured articles were equal, if not superior to those of any other city In Utah. Her marbles, onyx, ornamental orna-mental stones, mineral wonders of all kinds were not surpassed by any other Etate in the west, not to speak of any other country. In the Utah exhibit at the Midwiater fair in San Francisco there is nothing which surpasses the great exhibit made by our peerless Woolen mills. At Salt Lake the products pro-ducts of these same mills constituted the main matter of in terest also. Trace Utah county all through these several fail and one is then prepared to see the peculiar fitness of Thk Dispatch's suggestion. Let it be only of Utah county products. pro-ducts. Let us mass them tastefully, artistically and then invite all Utah and the outside world to come in and see just why we claim for Utah county the crown for Utah territorial prod uc tions. Then, too, when strangers come here to see what we have already done, let us show them what we may do in the future if our energies and possibilities possi-bilities are wisely used. Not a clearsighted clear-sighted man of business but would wonder that no practical use has as yet been made of the greatest natural water-power in the entire west. Here are centered rnore natural resources than can be found at any other point in the territory. Let us awake to the great riches which are .rueting away here yielding nothing when, if used, ! they would be enriching our beautiful city with a rapidity perfectly bewildering. bewilder-ing. We offer the suggestion to our people peo-ple for what it is worth and trust they will look well at it ere they throw it aside a? ot nothing worth. The Dib patch will do its part in working for the scheme if it is adopted. What say our business men and progressive citizens citi-zens generally, but above all, what say our all-unapproachable woolen mills? |
