Show Owing to a serious accident which befell Bicylist Butler in Salt Lake yesterday and the serious illness of another an-other rider, the L. A.W. relay race, Salt Lake to Provo and returne schedule for today, has been temporarily post poned. Mr. Butler collided with another an-other rider and dislocated his shoulder and hurt himself otherwise. Yesterday was a day of great re-J re-J jicing with the majority of the residents resi-dents of Provo and thousands of yis itors from other cities of the countv,. here to attend the conference of the Y. L. and Y. M. M. I. associations. The time of the forenoon session was occupied occu-pied principally by B. H. Roberts and the whole of the afternoon was occupied occu-pied by Joseph F. Smith. Both gentlemen gen-tlemen epoke of the mercies of Go of how we all should love and fear Ilim fear to offend Him by violating His laws or disobeying His commandments. It was shown how life can be made happy only by cultivating love and charity for all mankind and how a love for God is worth more to man than a love for money or worldly goods and the possession of it. In the evening B. H. Koberts delivered his noted address ad-dress on agnosticism to a very large congregation in the tabernacle. |
