Show A Sad Death. Miss Leona Guile-, a promising young maiden of IS summers, beloved by all who knew her, met her death at Goshen at ner own hands in a peculiar manner. She was visiting a married sisters house, when, seeing a vial of oil of tansy on the m:uitel she said in a joking way that she was going to take some of it. Her sister advised her not to,but Leona persisted in apparent spirit of banter and helped herself to a dose of the drug. In a short time she complained of bem thirsty and went to the cellar for a drink of wabsr, returning re-turning in a few minutes. She fell to the floor in a fit of spasms and in an houi expired in great agony. It is supposed sup-posed that Miss Gurley took the drug with the view of alleviating menstrual pains. Xo suicidal motive is thought to have led to the unfortunate circumstance circum-stance which lias cast a gloom over the little community of Goshen. |
