Show THE INDUSTRIALISTS. Interest in the industrial move culminated cul-minated Tuesday when Coxey made hia vainglorieus formal entry into Washington but did not speak on the steps ot tbe capitol. Is It possible that this vast body of men have been raised and placed in the po wer of such a nincompoop as this fellow Coxey appears ap-pears to be? Is he not rather the blind for the real leader, who, for politic reasons, is kept in the dark until tbe real work of the industrials is begun? Surely such a ninny has not been selected se-lected to lead a host comprising nearly a million men, who are in earnest seeking to recover lost rights or to force a great government to do an act of simple justice. The mere suggestion is preposterous. No body of earnest men would place their cause in the hands of a mere mountebank like this fool who has already well-nigh covered cov-ered the whole- movement with ridicule ridi-cule and destroyed every hope of efficiency effi-ciency or of farthering the cause for which tbey hare already sacrificed more than they wot of. What we fear is that there are other stronger and more nervy bloody-minded bloody-minded men than Coxey lingering in tbe back-ground ready to be unleashed when the time comes to inauguiate the dance of death and to light the fires of the most dreadful internecine war of which history has yet spoken. Patriots of every shade of opinion should, from this out, be on the watch. |
