Should it be of a family member, and child playing, or perhaps a special event, it makes no difference, the camera captures the moment for as long as you want to keep it! A moment is relative...and really cannot be measured! It could be a "fun" moment in time - a moment which makes one laugh, or...if you are making a decision - it takes only a moment to decide that that will be. But...now there is the moment that follows which confuses the issue greatly! It only takes "another moment" to change your mind and change the outcome of the first moment. Now it is difficult to justify the first moment - can we change it or take it back- no - but changing it may make a difference in the decision in which the child playing is happy, then the candy is removed from his hand and his demeanor changes quite rapidly. We sometimes regret that "moment" and even the photo or decision which was made. I have learned long ago that the "first moment" or "first decision" is usually the best - the right one - the one that makes the pathway you are traveling down a little smoother. Stopping to analyze and justify can only be helpful in certain situations, but necessary at times...yes - it only takes a moment... and you have captured it forever! Enjoy the moment! There are great opportunities to participate in your community's efforts to become more sustainable. Get involved in recycling education and collection, local cleanup initiatives, or conservation programs. Most organizations will jump at the chance to have free help. Decide what groups are most interesting to you and ask about ways to get involved. With the vast array of organizations out there, there's something for everyone. One great option is to spend part of your summer with Recycle Utah! Recycle Utah prevents 200 tons of recyclables from being landfilled every month. The Park City center accepts 50 different items, including hard-to-recycle items like Styrofoam, all 4 colors of glass, and electronics. Recycle Utah is always looking for volun- teers to assist in day-to-day operations and special events. You get to see what happens to all that stuff that gets dropped off and to be a part of a happening community center. Drop by the center on Woodbine Way or call 435649-9698 to find out how you can help. Recycle Utah, your community non-profit drop off recycling center, provides these weekly tips.
